Jacob kept producing through all of this, and landed a record on Metro Boomin's album with Travis Scott and 21 Savage, which picked up a Grammy nomination. Scorch sounds also showed up in records from Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Baby Keem, and Lil Durk that year.
The team also released Trifecta, Sauceware's first Kontakt instrument. Three sounds, bass, chords, and melody, built into every preset.

Octave came out in March 2020, right as the world shut down. It was a sample pack with the Octave VST included for free. Within a couple weeks, people weren't emailing about the samples anymore. They wanted the plugin.
"I had a goal of like 100 total producers buying this. Within the first day or two, 100 people had bought it."

Jacob and Grant caught Don Toliver in Montreal last weekend. First time Jacob saw him was right when Cactus Jack signed him. Wild to watch him now in front of a near sold-out stadium.
Two things stuck with them.
One: structure does most of the work. Body gets right to the point and the whole crowd knew exactly when to move.
Two: what sounds fine in your headphones can get amplified into something muddy or harsh in a stadium.
Mix like your song might end up playing in one. Even if you're not a concertgoer, get out and see records performed live. Watching a crowd react in real time is research you can't get any other way.
